about

“Santhiago” is the second single and episode of a quarantine story.
The project initiated with the collaboration between the Turin based producer John Bringwolves, and Afra Zamara, a London based set designer and multimedia Artist.
These two artists, merging music with images while being in different cities/countries, attempts to explore their own emotions and reflections experienced during the lockdown through their own narrative. Consider it as a private diary to listen and watch.

The lockdown is finished. We are back into streets, restaurants and everything seems normal again. Instead of coming back home for the car keys, we come back because we forgot the mask. "It all seems so normal around, as if nothing had happened." NO, this is a typical purpose that you can hear in a bar. The truth is that something has happened and we are all worried about but we’re at the mercy of what they tell us to do from above. Now you can run and go freely in the restaurants, see friends, etc.. Clubs and stadiums are the only ones closed, the rest seems broken down. It is a terribly enjoyable phase because returning in the park or being able to go around the region at any time of the day makes you feel free again. In fact, I made the move of all the instruments from my bedroom to the studio.
Santhiago is an enthralling track, I wanted it to sound fluid but at the same time without losing the different phases, the changes of rhythm. I sing for the first time in a language that doesn't exist. Singing doesn't have a meaning but I like how it added an almost exaggerated note of happiness compared to the base which is darker. Just like this phase in which we are happy but we go on a bit by inertia, sometimes robotic.
